On 4th August 2024, the ICYM Kokkada unit took the initiative to organize a cleaning activity of the flagpole and emblem as part of the Independence Day celebrations. Under the guidance of Director Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva and Animator Jayanth D'souza, the program began at 4 PM on the premises of St. John's Aided Higher Primary School. 

The event saw the active participation of eight ICYM members, who worked diligently to ensure the flagpole and emblem were meticulously cleaned. This program not only served to enhance the school's appearance but also highlighted the importance of maintaining national symbols with respect and honor. 

The efforts of the ICYM members were a reflection of their commitment to the community and their patriotic spirit, setting an example for others to follow in contributing positively to society.
