The Catechism Inauguration for the year 2026 was held with great joy and spiritual enthusiasm on Sunday, 7th June 2026. The occasion marked the beginning of a new year of faith formation, guiding children to grow deeper in their knowledge and understanding of Christian teachings.
The inauguration took place during the Holy Mass celebrated at 8:30 a.m. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Vineet Vincent Pereira as the Main Celebrant, along with Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash Dsilva, Parish Priest, and Deacon Wilfred Steven Rodrigues.
The children actively participated in the Holy Mass by proclaiming the readings and taking part in various liturgical services. Their involvement added beauty and meaning to the celebration, reflecting their eagerness to learn, serve, and strengthen their faith.
During the celebration, the Catechism programme was officially inaugurated, entrusting the new academic year to God’s blessings and guidance. The programme aims to help children deepen their relationship with God, understand the teachings of Jesus Christ, and develop strong Christian values.
