On 08-02-2026, our church prayerfully celebrated Confraternity Sunday as a spiritual preparation for the annual parish feast to be held on 11-02-2026. The celebration drew a large number of parishioners who gathered in faith and unity.
The Holy Mass began at 4.00 PM with Most Rev. Fr. Dr. Rajesh Melwyn Rosario, Rector of St. Joseph’s Interdiocesan Seminary, Jeppu, Mangaluru, as the main celebrant. He was joined by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’Silva, Deacon Wilfred Stevan Rodrigues, and Rev. Fr. Varghese Kaipanadka, Bethany at the altar. In his homily, the main celebrant highlighted the importance of belonging to the Confraternity, living a sacramental life, and preparing spiritually for the parish feast with prayer and renewal of faith.
Following the Mass, a solemn Eucharistic procession was held. The Blessed Sacrament was reverently carried from the church towards Kokkada Jodumarga and then back to the church premises. Hymns, prayers, and devotion marked the entire procession, creating a deeply prayerful atmosphere in the parish. The procession also included Rev. Fr. Jibin and Rev. Fr. Arun of St. Francis College, Kokkada. Members of the Parish Pastoral Parishad worked diligently to ensure the smooth movement of the procession, coordinating with the police to manage traffic and ensure the safety of all participants
The presence of the Blue Brass Band, Badayar, added a festive spirit to the evening with their devotional band performance. Their participation was generously sponsored by Mr. Joseph Pais and family, whose support was greatly appreciated by the parish community.
Parish Pastoral Council members, representatives of all church associations, and a large number of parishioners actively took part in the celebration. Confraternity Sunday thus became a meaningful occasion of prayer, unity, and spiritual preparation for the upcoming parish feast.
