It was a moment of immense joy and spiritual celebration for our parish as Rev. Fr. Marwin Praveen Lobo, formerly our deacon, returned to our church to celebrate his First Holy Mass as a newly ordained priest on Sunday, 11th May 2025. The Holy Mass began at 8:30 AM, led by Rev. Fr. Marwin, with the gracious presence of our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva and Rev. Fr. Ashok D'souza, who concelebrated the Eucharistic celebration.

Fr. Marwin was ordained into priesthood on 30th April 2025, and it was a proud and emotional moment for our entire parish community to witness his first Mass among us, where he had faithfully served as a deacon for six months. The Mass was filled with reverence, thanksgiving, and heartfelt participation by the faithful.

Following the Mass, a felicitation program was held outside the church, where parishioners gathered to extend their warm wishes and blessings to the newly ordained priest. The program was emceed gracefully by Mrs. Shanthi Priya D'souza. The dais was adorned by dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva, Rev. Fr. Ashok D'souza, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Noel Praveen Monteiro, Secretary Mrs. Veena Mascarenhas, 21 Commission Head Mrs. Winfred Clara D'souza, and Mangalore Diocese Parish Council Member Mr. Vincent Menezes.

The event began with a prayerful welcome dance performed by the children of the parish, setting a spiritual tone for the celebration. One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of parish students who excelled in their Class X and Class XII board exams, honoring their hard work and academic achievement.

The parish choir added a joyful spirit to the celebration by singing a heartfelt song dedicated to Rev. Fr. Marwin Praveen Lobo, expressing the love and pride of the entire community.

Fr. Marwin, in his speech, shared his deep gratitude and love for all who supported him during his journey as a deacon in our parish. He spoke fondly of his time spent in service here, thanking the parish priest, parishioners, and all those who guided and encouraged him on his path to priesthood.

The entire parish community came forward to personally greet and bless Fr. Marwin for this new chapter in his spiritual journey. It was a moving sight to see parishioners, young and old, shower him with prayers and best wishes.

Rev. Fr. Marwin Praveen Lobo will begin his new ministry as Assistant Parish Priest at Mai De Deus Church, Puttur, on 20th May 2025. As a parish, we offer him our heartfelt congratulations and continued prayers for a fruitful and blessed priestly ministry.
