The Catholic Sabha Kokkada Unit organized a Speech Competition for the church children on October 12, 2025, at the church hall, following the second Holy Mass. The event aimed to encourage young parishioners to develop their public speaking skills and confidently express their thoughts on meaningful topics.

Before the commencement of the competition, breakfast and refreshments were served to all participants and guests, creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. The competition was judged by Mr. James Crishal D’souza and Mrs. Elizabeth  from the Catholic Sabha Kadaba Unit.

The programme began with a welcome address by Mrs. Babitha D’souza, Secretary of the unit, who also served as the Master of Ceremony. The dignitaries on stage included Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’silva, Parish Priest; Fr. Ashok D’Souza; Mr. Sylvester D’souza, President of the Catholic Sabha Kokkada Unit; Mrs. Saritha D’souza, Immediate Past President; and the judges.

Children from various age groups participated enthusiastically, delivering inspiring speeches filled with creativity and confidence. The judges appreciated the participants for their excellent preparation and impressive presentation.

Following the competition, the results were announced, and prizes were distributed to the winners by the dignitaries. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Sevrin D’souza, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, parents, judges, and volunteers for their valuable contribution in making the speech competition a grand success.
