On September 16, 2024, the Nithyadhar Ward community gathered at Manuel D'souza's residence at 4:00 PM to celebrate the Feast of Nativity. The event was graced by the presence of parish priest Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva and Rev. Fr. Ashok D'souza, adding a spiritual touch to the celebration. Ward head Mr. Maurice D'Souza warmly welcomed everyone, marking the beginning of the event.

The celebration commenced with a prayer, followed by a Bible reading by Mr. Santhosh D'Souza. Father Ashok then delivered a reflection on the Word of God, providing spiritual insights to the gathered faithful. The children of the ward participated actively by reading out intentions. A significant moment of the celebration was the offering of fresh flowers to Infant Mary. Ward members brought these flowers as an act of devotion. This act symbolized their reverence and love for Mary. 

Mr. Maurice Fernandes, the senior ward head, shared his thoughts on the importance of the Feast of Nativity and its rituals. His words emphasized the cultural and spiritual significance of the celebration. A traditional ritual followed, where some of the blessed grains of paddy were peeled, crushed, and mixed with milk. Drinking this milk with prayers and devotion symbolized the hope for a year without hunger. This ritual, rich in symbolism, highlighted the community's reliance on divine providence.

The event also included entertainment and fun activities for all attendees. The children of the ward showcased their talents through dance performances, adding joy to the celebration. Various games were organized for the ward members, bringing in an element of fun and camaraderie.

Acknowledgment was given to the ward members who contributed to the ward's activities over the years. Flowers were presented as a token of appreciation. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the games, and mementos were given to the children who entertained the gathering, recognizing their efforts and talents.

Rev. Father Anil Prakash D'Silva shared an inspiring message about the Nativity Feast and the importance of unity within the family. His words resonated with the attendees, reinforcing the theme of togetherness. Ward Secretary Mrs. Savitha D'Souza delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the celebration. The sponsors were also thanked with flowers, acknowledging their support.
