The parish community came together in solemnity and joy on Saturday, 19th April 2025, at 7:00 PM to celebrate the Easter Vigil, the most sacred liturgy of the Christian calendar. The Holy Mass was presided over by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’silva, with the assistance of Deacon Marwin Praveen Lobo.
The evening began with the Blessing of the Fire (Lucernarium), held before the Mass. This ancient rite symbolizes Christ, the Light of the World, triumphing over the darkness of sin and death. From the blessed fire, the Paschal Candle was lit, and its flame spread among the faithful, filling the church with a warm and reverent glow.
The Mass continued with the Blessing of the New Holy Water, an important symbol of renewal and rebirth. This newly blessed water was used to sprinkle the congregation, and all renewed their baptismal promises as a sign of their faith and commitment to the Risen Christ.
The liturgy was rich with symbolism, prayer, and sacred music, drawing the hearts of the faithful into the mystery of Christ’s Resurrection. The Easter message of hope, light, and new life resonated deeply with everyone present.
We are grateful to all who attended and contributed to making this Easter Vigil a deeply spiritual and memorable occasion. As a community, we rejoice together and proclaim: Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
