On 21st March 2026, our parish organized a heartfelt outreach visit to Seon Ashram Trust(R.) at Gandibagilu as part of our Lenten mission of compassion and service. A group of 60 parishioners gathered at the church early in the morning and departed at 8:30 a.m., arriving at the ashram around 9:30 a.m.
The team was warmly welcomed by the ashram staff, who provided a detailed introduction to the institution—its history, mission, and the noble vision behind its service to society. Seon Ashram is home to more than 400 residents, including children, men, women, persons with disabilities, and individuals facing mental health challenges. Parish members spent meaningful time interacting with the inmates, offering words of encouragement, companionship, and support, making the visit truly enriching for everyone involved.
At 12:00 noon, the Holy Mass was celebrated in the ashram chapel by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva. The Eucharistic celebration during this Lenten season reminded everyone of the values of love, sacrifice, and service.
Following the Mass, Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva blessed the meal, and all present—parishioners, staff, and inmates—shared lunch together in a spirit of unity and fellowship.
The afternoon was filled with joy and vibrant energy as the inmates showcased their talents through dance and cultural performances. Their enthusiasm and confidence were truly inspiring. Adding to the celebration, children from our parish also presented their talents, creating a beautiful exchange of joy and appreciation.
Mr. Rithesh Strella, ward head of St. John the Baptist, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made this visit possible. The event was guided by Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash Dsilva, and the dedicated efforts of Mr. Rithesh Strella, Mr. Johnson Galbao, Mr. Rithesh Dsouza, and their team ensured the smooth and successful organization of the program.
The visit concluded around 3:30 p.m. with tea and snacks prepared by the ashram. As the group departed, hearts were filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose.
We extend our sincere thanks to all donors, supporters, and well-wishers who contributed directly and indirectly to the success of this initiative. A special note of gratitude goes to the Founder and Managing Trustee, Dr. U.C. Paulose, and his family for providing us with this meaningful opportunity to serve and share love during the Lenten season.
