The feast of St. John the Baptist, the patron of our church, was joyfully celebrated on the evening of June 24, 2025. The celebration began at 5:30 PM with a solemn Eucharistic mass, bringing together parishioners and guests in a spirit of unity, devotion, and festivity. 

The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. Arun Venil D’silva, Procurator of the Diocese of Shimoga, as the main celebrant. He was joined on the altar by Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva (our parish priest), Rev. Fr Ashok D’Souza (SVD), Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves (Headmaster of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Bondel), and Rev. Fr Gracian Alvares (parish priest of Infant Jesus Church, Nellyady). Beloved guests from the Bethany community also graced the occasion, including Rev. Fr. Dr. Varghese Kaipanaduka OIC (Principal of Jnanodaya Bethany PU College, Nellyady), Rev. Fr. Jaison Simon OIC (Correspondent), and Rev. Fr. George Samuel Mattathil OIC (Director of Bethany ITI, Nellyady).

The presence of the Morning Star Band from Vijayadka added a joyful rhythm to the celebration with their melodious performance.
As spiritual preparation, a three-day novena was held from June 21 to 23, invoking blessings and fostering deeper devotion among the faithful. 

A special moment during the celebration was when our generous donors (Muddhom) were honored. They received the Candle of Honor as a symbol of our deep appreciation for their support to the parish community. 

Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’silva extended heartfelt thanks to all the clergy, guests, volunteers, and parishioners who contributed to making the feast a grand and memorable celebration. The celebration concluded with a festive meal lovingly prepared and served by our dedicated parishioners.
