A day of grace and joy was witnessed in our parish on Sunday, 27th April 2025, as seven of our young parishioners received their First Holy Communion during the 9:00 am Holy Mass celebrated by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’silva.
The celebration was marked by reverence and heartfelt devotion as the children, dressed in white, came forward to receive the Body and Blood of Christ for the very first time. It was a touching and spiritually enriching moment for the entire congregation to witness their deep faith and innocence.
The children were carefully and prayerfully prepared for this important sacrament by Mrs. Jacintha D’souza, who guided them through catechism classes and spiritual readiness. Their preparation was also enriched by Deacon Marwin Praveen Lobo, who trained them to sing a beautiful devotional hymn that they joyfully presented during the Mass, adding a special touch to the solemn celebration.
In a loving gesture, Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’silva hosted a party for the First Communicants after the Mass, celebrating their milestone with warmth and joy. It was a wonderful occasion for the children and their families to come together, rejoice, and feel the love and support of their parish community.
We thank all who contributed to making this day memorable - our Parish Priest, catechist, deacon, choir, altar servers, and volunteers. Most of all, we pray for the First Communicants, that their journey with Jesus in the Eucharist continues to grow and deepen throughout their lives.
Congratulations to our First Holy Communicants! May God bless you always.
